I do hope I am not being too optimistic but wow what great weather this week!
Poppets children have been out and about hunting for mini beasts with magnifying glasses and bug boxes to collect our finds all bugs returned to their natural habitat of course. We have made Pirate ships from boxes as well as creating with junk modelling materials to make rockets, telescopes and pasta shakers.
We have had a great time playing with play dough, bark and diggers and lots of painting too!
Thank you for sending in named sun hats and lotion I think we may be able to take wellies home ???
Does anyone have any spare (but still play value) wooden spoons, bun trays, flour shakers or other redundant cooking items for us to make our mud pies in ??.
Next week is Daddy week we promise to take care of them!! We are hoping to make good use of positive male role models for wood work, football, trains and story reading as well as showing the children that Dads are great at playing dollies too !!
Toddle Waddle is planned for Tuesday 11th June please meet us at Poppets with your picnic and a rug to sit on. We will all walk to the quay together and hope to spend a lovely afternoon playing and chatting in the sunshine. EVERYONE WELCOME ( if wet we will try weds ) donations for Meningitis trust would be appreciated.
